fmod64.dll: download the file and fix the error
fmod64.dll is a library shipped with the games that use it (video, sound or game engine). Its official description: “FMOD”, by Firelight Technologies Pty, Ltd.
If it is missing or damaged, Windows displays for example: “The program can't start because fmod64.dll is missing from your computer.” Two methods can fix the error, below.
Method 1 · quick · about 1 minute
Download only fmod64.dll
Ideal if only this file is reported missing: you replace a single file, without reinstalling anything.
- Version
- 3.74
- Architecture
- 64-bit (x64)
- Size
- 429.57 KB
- Publisher
- Firelight Technologies Pty, Ltd
Then:
- Extract fmod64.dll from the zip file and copy it to the folder of the program showing the error (where its
.exefile is). - Still getting the error? Also copy it to
C:\Windows\System32(64-bit Windows only), then restart.
64-bit version: it does not work with a 32-bit program. In that case, use method 2.
